but why I made it, examining the thoughts that accompany creativity and the act of making."

Practice Run

6.2.1981 my oldest daughter was born.
6.2.2009 my oldest daughter's youngest daughter was born.

6.2.2012 we celebrated both birthdays.

In the early hours of 6.3.2012 my oldest daughter was admitted to the hospital because she was in labor with her baby that is due next week, but then the baby decided she was not in such a hurry to arrive after all so my daughter is back home and we adults are recovering from a lack of sleep and all the excitement :)
I did give my daughter the Queen Anne's lace scarf I crocheted for her:)
I have crocheted six cup cozies so far.
Some more family friends from CA arrived today and I hope to complete crocheting a scarf for my girlfriend while she is here this week with this Hyacinth superwash merino/mulberry silk I bought from Sosae Caetano.

Have you had any sort of practice runs this week?

  5. Well you have been very, very busy. The birthdays must be so fun to celebrate and your daughter looks great in the scarf. Keep us posted on the baby, there is nothing like a new baby to bring Joy into your life.

  6. Hello Gracie - such excitement for you. The scarf looks lovely as does the colour of that yarn you have shown us. I am practising in my head how I hope my cardmaking workshop will go. Although I was a teacher, it has been six years since I was last in a classroom and then it was seven to eight year olds - this time it will be adults. Best wishes to your daughter. Anne x

  7. Exciting! A new baby to prepare for. They sure like to keep us on the edge of our seats don't they? Soon, you'll be holding that precious gift from God.

I really like your cup cozies. You're doing a beautiful job. Have a wonderful weekend.

    Blessings,
    Betsy
