The cherry tree has been spectacular this week.
I experimented with the Queen Anne's Lace crochet pattern and Chunky Mochi Crystal Palace yarn. I ended up using a size K crochet hook.
When I finished the scarf this morning, I asked my oldest daughter to try it on. She thinks I should give her the scarf for her June 2nd birthday. (:

During an April shower this morning look who I saw taking shelter in one our evergreen trees.
Do you have a special spot to shelter from April showers?
Happy weekend!
Happy weekend!
Beautiful tree!! And beautiful scarf! I think she should get it for her birthday too!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter will appreciate your vote for her cause! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI love your scarf and have used Mochi to make many of them myself. I love how the yarn makes the scarf so much more interesting. I think I used a J hook for mine. Your daughter looks wonderful in it, I think it has her name on it. Happy Weekend, Meredith
ReplyDeleteMeredith, I am certain my daughter will appreciate your vote in her favor! Thanks for visiting. (:
DeleteLove the colors you used on the scarf...I definitely cast a vote for your pretty daughter to get it as a birthday present (and maybe even an early birthday present)!
ReplyDeleteI love flowering trees too---this is definitely a pretty time of the year!
Blessings, Aimee

DeleteWow! The cherry blossom looks lovely :) I currently have lots of apple blossom that I am hoping doesn't get blown/washed away with our horrible weather :( The new scarf also looks lovely...I don't blame your daughter for laying claim to it!
ReplyDeleteWhen I am stuck in the rain, I like to stand underneath trees, where I go for a walk each day there are some lovely beech trees that provide some shelter....until the BIG drips start coming through!
Helloooo! Nice to meet you. And thank you for the camera suggestion.
ReplyDeleteGreat scarf :D
Gorgeous blossom and scarf- I too vote for yur daughter to have it. Have not used that yarn shall add it to an already exstensive list of yarn I would like :-)
ReplyDeleteAm sheltering indoors as weather awful. Anne x
Hope you enjoy sunshine soon, Anne!
DeleteThanks for visit and comment. The Cherry trees are in full blossom here too but the tree in my garden is a Crab Apple. Your bird in tree looks like our Robin.
ReplyDeleteYes the bird is what I know as a robin, too, Barbara.
DeleteHi Gracie, wow I got behind in my commenting while on vacation! I love your lacy cherry blossoms, we have a lot of wild cherry trees here doing the same thing. Gorgeous scarf on a lovely daughter! Hope to see you soon.. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteYour cherry blossom looks wonderful.....I always love seeing the blossom begin to open on the trees in our neighbourhood. Your new scarf is gorgeous and it does suit your daughter!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy week.

Cherry trees are lovely, but not as lovely as your lace scarf! I think your daughter is right - it would make a wonderful birthday present, seeing how it looks so beautiful on her! :)
