Crocheted Cup Cozies Completed

While enjoying watching  Craft in America on PBS this afternoon, I finished the 27th cup cozy at 6:30pm! I quickly packed 26 in a bag, got in the car, delivered the bag to the meeting by the 7:00pm deadline, and drove home to relax.

At 10:40pm I got a frantic apologetic text from the meeting hostess.
"I am so sorry! I forgot to hand out the AWESOME cup cozies!"

Oh my :)

    1. I am glad you like their looks, Sarah :) I enjoyed making them even though they have not made it into the hands of their owners yet.
Hope all is well with you and yours :)

    1. They were fun to make, and I would not mind making more, Shari. It is interesting to me that the pattern I made up when starting the project was inaccurate the more that I made. I think the more I made the tighter my tension got so I kept having to add stitches to get the cozies to fit. Have you had that happen?

  3. Oh my goodness...I have so much to say. Where to start? Well, I have been so ill, and far behind on my blog visits, and am just now catching up. Your TaDa's are beautiful!!!! The journal...oh my, what a beautiful thing it is, and even more so now with your own words. I have always loved to write, and have kept journals from the a very young age. I love to look at them, and remember what I was doing at that time in my life. I always keep travel journals, and I gave my Mom a very cute rustic looking journal for all to use when visiting her cabin in the woods. It is a great thing to look at !!!!!
Your cozies....oh shoot!!!! Will they still get to be handed out? So cute they are!!!!!
I hope this finds you well.
    Hugs,
    Kris
PS How is the new baby and Mama doing?

    1. Glad you are starting to feel better, Kris!!! It is so neat that you have been a regular journaler! I wish I had been more consistent through the years. But I love this whole blogging thing, because it is a journal of sorts, for me, but also a means to meet and enjoy friends. I am not sure how we will hand out the cozies...but we will, and there may not have been quite enough for that group anyway...you know how rsvping goes :) New baby and Mama are doing great! My pulled ligament/muscle is still a little tender after use, but healing and I am thankful! Hugs back to you, Kris :)

    1. Thanks for caring, Teresa. I did get a lump in my throat at first, but then realized that when my group leader friend had been over for lunch last week I had forgotten to show her the half of them I had done because of all the excitement here with the new baby; and due to late RSVPs there may not have been enough anyway, so I am thinking how we can best use them. I am so glad I enjoyed making them:)

  5. What a shame they haven't yet been handed out when you went to so much trouble to finish them on time. Life is so frustrating, but I am sure that when they do arrive with their future owners they will be treasured.

    1. The incident reminds me of when I have gone to the grocery store specifically for one thing I come home without...then wonder how in the world I did that! :)

  6. Oh no! And after all that hard work and the frantic finish! Well I'm sure they will adore them when they do receive them. They're wonderful.

    1. Life is full of amazing surprises! Thanks for caring, Meredith. I was disappointed, but can so relate to my friend's oversight having been rattled in a number of overwhelming social situations where I was aiming to be calm and organized :)

    2. Oh rats! (That seems to be my exclamation of the week hehe.) And after all your hard work!! Frustraing for you and the lady who didn't hand them out must be feeling awful. I hope good homes will be found for them.
