Pops of Pink and Purple Around Me

Have you made it into April without getting caught in April showers?  So far we have, much to my amazement. The sunshine has been... stellar!  A  sure sign for me that the weather is warming is that I have been enjoying drinking more iced tea. I drink it all year round, but more so when the weather is warm.  Do you?

While I have not gone into full force Spring cleaning you would have been impressed with the cloud of dust I raised the other day; and my big relief was cleaning up some paperwork this week by getting my taxes submitted.

Thursday morning I started attending a women's Bible study by Beth Moore, "Here and Now, Then and There," which is interesting.

Walking around our yard, I am surprised to see so many pink flowers.  I am especially enjoying my first Hellebore [second photo].

The doll dress I started crocheting before Christmas was completed this week...not quite as I had dreamed it would be, but hopefully my three-year-old granddaughter, Joy, will have fun dressing her dolly in it. I have started crocheting a strawberry with Lion brand Kitchen Cotton and a size E crochet hook. I dropped some stitches in the preemie blanket I am knitting and hope to pick them up tomorrow.

What pops of color have you noticed around you?

Hoping you have a happy week,
Gracie xx

  4. Your flowers are beautiful Gracie, I did my Spring cleaning a few weeks back. Now it is just regular cleaning that never seems to end. I have new flowers on my zucchini plant, I never realized how beautiful they are.
Hugs to you my dear Gracie,

  6. Oh Gracie! I love your sunshine flowers blooming!
    THe dolly dress is adorbs.
We have forsythia blooming. THe willow trees are bright yellow this time of year. Against a very stormy sky yesterday I was reminded how beautiful grey and yellow are together.
Those tiny little blue flowers that spread across lawns are magic here right now.
it is still FREEZING but they promise 60 by this afternoon and THEN i'll walk

  8. Dust is always flying around here but it's not because I'm cleaning. :/ Though I certainly should be. Definitely not my favorite thing to do as I would much rather be outside enjoying our spring temperatures and finding pretty blooms, just like you. How funny that you just made I dress for a baby doll, as I have been doing the same thing and just posted about it. Have a great day!

  9. Your flowers are so pretty! We still don't have many flowers here but the weather has been stunning. Tomorrow is supposed to be rain all day and that's okay. We do need it. The dolls dress is perfect and I'm sure will be hours of fun for your little sweetheart. I've done several Beth Moore studies and have always enjoyed them and learned something each time. I hope you like yours too. See you soon.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  10. i like all you lovely pink flowers. I have a few pinks around me as well. Sunshine was nice but now it's raining! We were walking this evening after our evening meal, when it smelled like rain and within minutes after we got home, it started to rain. Still raining hard. Sigh! I plan on going to the tulip farm later this week for sunset photos. Have a good week my friend!

  14. I recognized that Bible study before I read what you wrote because I did that same one last year.
I have heard from family that you are having stellar weather this week!
