While I was at Carolyn's house in Sonoma, CA, I was told by my young friend, Rachael, that I was teaching a crochet class! Really? Me? I was so excited, although anxious, because I am still learning how to crochet myself even after over 40 years of practicing :-) [Rachel had no idea that I had been admiring Mellie and Jo for teaching crochet classes, and secretly wishing I could do so, too!] We had a great time sitting around Rachel and her husband, Ralph's table learning to chain and eventually try to make single crochets. More practice needed :-)
Before we started driving north to OR, Carolyn and I both succeeded in untangling the tangle I typed about and showed you in my last post. Woohoo! I really enjoyed and appreciated the experiences and opinions some of you shared with me about how you handle tangles! Thanks!
One of the cars we followed north from Sonoma to OR looked like a mechanical moose so I had to take a picture to share with you :-) but our favorite views on the drive were the ocean around Crescent City, CA. We also really enjoyed seeing the Crescent City and the Umpqua lighthouses.
Since I've been home: I washed off the shells, driftwood, and rocks and agates we collected on Crescent Beach, and arranged them for you to enjoy looking at, too. Aren't they pretty? Did you notice the tiny sand dollar? After a month away, it seems to me that Mt. Hood looks a little less like a snow cone as the weather continues to be warm. We have geraniums blooming and cherries the size of cranberries are plopping from our wild cherry tree. We had a big family and friend gathering here last night to celebrate the birth of the USA and tonight we are picking up my great niece, Katie, who is flying in from Nebraska to visit for a week! Happy Days!
Wishing you Happy Days as well!
Gracie xx :-)
