Blue Lake, to Double Crochet Class

While some of my friends down under are into their colder seasons, and others across the USA are sweltering  I am being dumbfounded by what seems to be a stretch of perfect summer days that almost make me feel guilty... almost :-)  As a result of these just right warm days my little grand girls are celebrating seeing their zucchini and nasturtium seeds sprouting!  And we were able to spend some delightful time at Blue Lake Park about 20 min. north of here.  At the natural discovery garden there, I was glad to see they had planted some Lamb's Ear and placed a sign next to it that encourages folks to touch it; it's soooooo soft!

Then once home again we lounged around learning how to double crochet.  I got a few more rows completed on my shawl, too!  Hooray!

And Dahlia season has commenced!  My youngest daughter brought home two big bouquets!

Should I complain to you in later posts about terrible weather and dismal doldrums, would you please remind me how blissfully happy I am today as I type to you?

xx,
Gracie :-)

  1. I think I would love your climate there. As I have gotten older, I just cannot tolerate the extreme heat we get. I get up early, and do my outside chores, then go back out at night.
Love the colors of your shawl. And I loved seeing a man crochet too!

  18. Such lovely times you are having Gracie. Beautiful photos. It is way too hot for me here in UK but am trying not to moan as I really don't want cold and rain back. Having said that we had thunder storms and lots of rain this morning. All dried up now. Hugs Anne x
