Heaven and Nature Sing!

I often have Pandora Internet Radio tuned into the classical Christmas station these days so that I regularly hear the lyrics, "Joy to the world!  The Lord has come!  Let earth receive her King!  Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing..." My activities seem to reflect on those lyrics as I have been crocheting stars and my oldest daughter and I tried to capture a good photo of the vibrantly uniformed wood ducks swimming and singing in the front pond :)

Have you noticed heaven and nature singing around you?

  1. Hi Gracie! I love that song also. Your package is on it's way and the little ornament inside quotes the same thing....JOY TO THE WORLD!
The ducks on your pond are so pretty...they are hard to capture from a distance but you did really good!
    Have a great day!

  2. Good morning Gracie!! I have Christmas music on my radio in the car too. But mine is country music. I do love that song you mention!!! And your stars are beautiful! And Wood Ducks...oh how I adore them. I have been trying to get a good photograph of the one on my Mom's lake for years!!!! Their markings are just spectacular!!!
I missed your last post. Were you making elf ears? So cute. And the little ones asleep in the back, one with her "night night" are so precious!!!

  3. Beautiful Christmas song. Once school is over, I put on our Christmas music. Yesterday we made ornaments and listened to Christmas carols for a couple hours before dinner. Puts a skip in my step. Have a wonderful day. Heather

  7. Beautiful wood ducks-I wish some would visit our ponds again(one time I did find two swimming contentedly above our koi)!
I think the best example of heaven and nature singing out here is our camellia! Even though most people cannot hear it, I am just SURE I hear the flowers singing "Joy to the World" :)
    Blessings,
    Aimee

  11. Oh yes indeed! There were some unbelievable rainbow clouds in Aberdeen recently and I haven't yet sorted my photos to see if I can share them, but actually standing there looking up at them was incredible. I hadn't remembered the phrase "Let Heaven and Nature sing" but it exactly describes the experience!

I loved your "Anticipation" post - especially the wee ones zonked out in the back after your visit to Santa's grotto!
