Sweet!

A bag of Fuji apples, washed, sliced, sprinkled with a tablespoon of cinnamon, and a dash of cloves, drizzled with a little raw local honey, doused and stirred with twelve ounces water, and simmered for ten plus hours in our crockpot, became a bit of yummy honey apple butter.  Sweet!  Then a surprise arrived in the mail!  The winner of my first blog give away, Meredith, sent me a package from Florida. In it I found a box of citrus treats for the whole family to enjoy,  and Meredith used some of the yarn I sent her to create a beautiful bouquet of flower coasters for me! Sooooo sweet!  Thank you, Meredith.  What sweetness is in your life these days?

  10. What wonderful friends you've made in blog land Gracie. But then, you show your sweet spirit to everyone who know you. Your apple butter recipe sounds delicious.

I'm leaving Portland tomorrow, BUT, we're returning next weekend because hubby is having Piper withdrawals. I can tell you that this is one Grandma that will be crying her eyes out when she leaves tomorrow. I've seen this little girl everyday since she was born and I can't imagine going even a day without seeing her. :-)

    Have a wonderful day Gracie.

    Blessings,
    Betsy
