Tea At Chariteas

To celebrate Mother's Day, some of the moms of our family and two grand girls met at Chaiteas in Sandy, Oregon, Saturday afternoon.

It was a beautiful warm sunny day and we all enjoyed a lovely tea.

    It looks as though a lovely time was had by all. The flowers are lovely and the cakes look scrumptious. I went to cardmaking class on Saturday morning. While DH was out doing an errand for my Aunt I made a cake. It had lemon,ground almonds and lemon zest in the mixture. Then it was sandwiched together with lemon curd and a creamy mixture of icing sugar, marscapone and whipping cream. Some of this creamy mix went on top and then I sprinkled it with almonds. Yummy.     Hi there. I missed your previous post on the knitted shawl, so first I will comment on that. WOW! Not only are you speedy Gonzalez...you do great work too. It is lovely, and she is sure to cherish it. You and your daughter must both knit with the same tension. I could never knit that fast!! I am new to knitting!
    On to tea now....how lovely that must have been. Nothing more girly than a tea! It looked like a wonderful way to celebrate being a Mom!!!!
