The Grass Grooed

While visiting me this morning my eldest grand girl and I had the following exchange:
GG. The grass grooed!!!
G'MA. The grass grew or the grass has grown.
GG. The grass groon!!
G'MA. The grass grew.
GG. The grass grooed!!!

But she was concerned because the flower seeds haven't grooed, yet.
However the sunshine streaming through my window soon distracted her from her gardening and  inspired her to set up another picnic. This time sailor dolly, a bear and a bunny rabbit came along with a sand shovel and pail.
I know the cross was created by the light pouring around our wooden window panes, but I was startled none-the-less to be reminded once more of the amazing ways I believe God reaches out to me through Christ  to draw me into loving relationship with Himself and others.
Even Lavendar Lambiekins who was carelessly tossed on the bed this morning, seems to be looking to the Light,
reminding me that I need to do that every day,  no matter what the season,  to be lovingly grooed just as surely as the grass is groon.

  2. What a lovely post, Gracie... The little ones have a way of getting fully into our hearts. "The grass grooed" is beyond charming! My own 3yo niece said the other day, "Look! It's beautiful day upside!" Of course, we all know it's a beautiful day upside, and the grass has grooed. Love.
