It has been so much fun for me this spring to crochet colorful eggs and a chick with character!
They remind me of the incredible joy I feel as I celebrate birth and growth and beauty in spite of loss and conflict and disaster.
In fact because of those frightful things I am all the more grateful for the joys I know now and prepare to know forever.

Thanks for visiting me today. Happy Easter always! <3
Lovely work and the photo's are gorgeous. I would like to wish you a very Happy Easter :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah! I am so glad you are feeling well enough to wind some beautiful yarn for a new project! I look forward to seeing your post about the wrap you are going to make...and by the way, I am very impressed you enjoy weaving. Some of my friends in northern CA have woven some amazing materials, but so far I can just see myself weaving more potholders. (:
DeleteI love all your colorful eggs.. I bet your little girls are enjoying them. I love my basket of hand-crafted eggs that will be able to be treasured for years to come. Cute lil chick too! My older son is having all of us over tomorrow for BBQ dinner and Easter fun. Have a great day with your family tomorrow!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteMy youngest grand girl set one of her rubber ducks on one of the eggs and had a very earnest conversation with the duck about hatching! (: I want to make another chick even though I do not have any ow-eeng [love that] yarn for the beak and feet. I decided the yellow would work. My oldest grand girl just informed me that the chick has fallen behind the stairs to her bunk bed so we will have to launch a rescue mission. I hope you have a great time with your family tomorrow, too! <3
