Fiber Fun!

Starting with this so soft colorful cloud of fluffiness
then stranding a bit of it
I am learning to let it glide through my fingers to form interesting yarn for one of my fiber dreams .
And I am crocheting another Queen Anne's Lace scarf
With this lovely
Lime and Parsley yarn from
Sosae Caetano .

What crafts are gliding through your life this week?

  1. Oh how pretty!! I love the parsley and lime. I am a nut for greens!! I am hoping to get back to work on my bobble this week. I have been incredibly busy these past few weeks, and have not had much time to craft at all.
Thank you for your sweet words to my daughter Erika. She is a single Mama, and works so hard!
    Hugs,
    Kris

  2. What a lovely crafty week you are having, I love the fibre and the yarn you are spinning, what will it become? You have got a winner with the Queen Annes scarf, the yarn is perfect for that pattern and turning out to be very beautiful. Is the scarf for you? It is going to be a treat to wear. :) x

    1. Hi Lucy! My daughters think I should make another QAL scarf with the yarn I am spinning, and I might give it a try to see how the colors blend, but I am focusing on trying to get a consistant yarn without too much twist as that has been a problem for me in the past. Practice! The green scarf is a gift for a friend who does well wearing green. <3

    1. I am so glad I tried the QAL pattern on your blog! So far those receiving one from me have loved them, and it is fun to make as well as give it. I am peddling the spinning wheel with the leg that does not have the pulled l/m. It is better but still complaining if I move the wrong way. :( How are you feeling? It is pouring rain and cherry petals over here! <3

  4. Ohmygoodnessgracious! Gracie, you are amazing! The Queen Ann's Lace is stunning! And the handspun - beautiful! You have so much patience and creativity. This is definitely inspiring me to learn crochet (I haven't gotten much father than the basic chain right now...) :))

    1. Thanks for your encouragement, Sosae. My feelings sometimes get all tangled up with concepts like "performance" and "perfection" both of which tend to immobilize my productivity and dampen my sense of joy in the creative process.
Be brave with me and don't let stitches beyond the chain intimidate your creative dreams! (: <3

  5. Hello Grace the yarn you are spinning is so beautiful - such a lovely array of colours in your post. The scarf is gorgeous - the colour stunning. This week any craft time has been for knitting. More of what I am knitting later. Take care. Anne x
