This week I enjoyed crocheting a scarf in a pattern I first saw on Teresa Kasner's blog. I am so excited that I was able to do it because I lack confidence in following patterns in general, and I was skeptical that I could follow this one because the scarf seems visually complex to me. But I think having done it, that the visual complexity works in my favor to hide any misplaced stitches and inconsistent twists; yet the overall effect pleases me, and I hope will please the one who is receiving it as a gift.
I loved working with the merino nylon mix yarn that I bought at Designer Yarns in Sandy , Oregon. There was an interesting article in the Oregonian newspaper recently about how the shop came to be.
The yarn I used is soft sock weight yarn with a nice bounce to it!
I used a wooden ChiaoGoo size G/6(4.0mm) crochet hook.
Finishing the scarf is a happy way for me to start the weekend which is supposed to be warm and dry for us. Woohoo!!!
