"I started photographing my domestic world and writing not just about what I had made,
but why I made it, examining the thoughts that accompany creativity and the act of making."

Post Office to Posting...

The third week of Advent has been cold and misty with showers of rain and Mt. Hood has been hidden from my sight most of the time.  The ponds still have some ice on them, and ventures outside make coming inside into the cozy warmth especially welcome.

Inside I have been crocheting more wreath ornaments, writing some Christmas cards watching Christmas movies, wrapping and packing presents and packages, listening to Christmas music, and I just tried making Lisa's yummy Spicy-Sweet Toasted Pecans recipe.  Lisa and her family recently moved into a log cabin in Colorado!  Sigh...and I have been enjoying her blog account of their settling in :)

My oldest daughter, her four little daughters and I ventured out to the Post Office and the postal worker gave the two older girls little gift packets. [They liked them more than the expressions I caught on their faces show you :)]

In lieu of having snow outside, [except on Mt. Hood] it has been fun to have my youngest daughter and her husband's lit Christmas village glowing inside, and  Advent candles lit as we come to the longest night of the year.  I am looking forward to our candlelight service at church on Christmas Eve as well.  I wish you could enjoy it with me!

Blessings to you and yours :)
