"I started photographing my domestic world and writing not just about what I had made,
but why I made it, examining the thoughts that accompany creativity and the act of making."

Traveling to the Tulips

Knit night at Taci's Friday night was great fun!  Her sweet dog, Java, honored me by resting her head on my crochet pattern in my lap and letting me snap a photo  :)  Teresa, [see her Field of Tulips post] got a good photo of Taci and Betsy holding one of the gorgeous pineapple tablecloths that Betsy has crocheted.  But I was having so much fun visiting and counting stitches that I did not focus on getting any other photos in focus :(  It is so exciting to me to be in the midst of creative stitchers, appreciating their various interests and skill levels!  Thanks for hostessing us, Taci.

Sunday afternoon most of our family piled into my mini-van and we headed south through rain showers for an hours drive to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm.  We passed through woods and farm land and saw cows, sheep, goats,  a tiny waterfall, a river, a stream and a little covered bridge; and I managed to get a few photos of some of all the wonders around us.

And then we saw tulips~~~~~~ecstasy

What are you seeing around you?
