Winter Project Link Party at Thistlebear: January

Cheers for those of you who have already posted your progress reports on Jennifer's Link Party! I have been admiring the progress on your projects that some of you have posted about, and hope to visit more of you today...or soon.

While my Ruby Shawl and my Super Merino Blanket have been "basket cases" mostly hidden from my view this past month, I did make progress on the preemie blanket I am knitting, and am almost ready to start crocheting the blanket's border. Hooray!  Also I had fun crocheting a doll clothes bag for Joy, my three-year-old granddaughter.  I am fiddling around with some yarn to see if I can crochet some doll clothes for her to store in her bag, too :)

Happy Stitching until we check in with each other again!

Gracie xx

  1. The blanket is beautiful, such lovely pastel shades. I will be interested to see what dolls clothes you make, I thought that might be a project for later on in the year.

  4. Hi Gracie! I have been so busy with mittens that I haven't knit a single stitch on my blanket. I do like all of your projects. I'm sure that Joy loves the clothes bag that you made her. I still have gifts my Grandma made for me. They remind me of how much she loved me whenever I see them. You are a wonderful Grandma!

  5. Lots of lovely makes on the go Gracie! My aunt used to make doll clothes for Lauren when she was little. Matter of fact....I think I still have a few of them stored away. A most certain memorable keepsake for your granddaughter!

  6. I've never made dolls clothes, I expect they're quite fiddly with them being so small. I look forward to seeing what you make. I'm sure Joy will be thrilled with them, and the bag.

  7. Aw little blanket so pretty. Like how you have a project in a basket as well. I've been slow at getting much done lately but I'm making a stab at it all. Have a blessed day, my friend.

  8. I love all your "basket cases"! I'm a bit off track with my winter projects too.. the baby bootie factory pushed everything else aside. I have my white alpaca shawl on the back burner and many other things too.. but it will all be brought back in their turn. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
