Models for WIP Wed. 3.27.2013

My great-niece, Katie, sent an e-mail thanking me for the cowl hood I crocheted for her; and I asked her for pictures of her modeling it which she kindly sent so that I can share them with you.  I am glad she is enjoying some of the yarn she so generously sent to me!

My Miss Maggie Rabbit [1001 I call her :)] is nearly complete and I not only enjoyed making her blanket stitches, but I also enjoyed using elastic thread for the first time...a neat way to gather material.

Another work in process, my taxes, are ready to be filed.  Woo-hoo!!!

Are you happy with your works in process?

xx,
Gracie

  1. Awwwww Gracie, that bunny....is just.....the sweetest! Katie is a great model, green is her color....I couldn't pull that color off that well.
I am currently making another quilt and another crochet blanket....trying to fill up that new cabinet I bought!

  3. I love the bunny! Just in time for Easter. :)The cowl is very pretty I love that color green. Yippy on your taxes! I just finished mine too so I know what a relief it is. I vow every year to be more organized so I'm not having to do it all at once at the end of the year, but each time the end of the year creeps up on me!

  6. Just catching up here Gracie. I'm seeing those gorgeous bunnies wherever I go in Blogland at the moment ... what a joy! And that cowl looks so cosy :D

I have had to start my current WIP again ... I realised I had picked up the wrong size of needle when casting on ... serves me right, having two unfinished projects together in the same bag!

  7. I love your Maggie Rabbit. She's adorable. I am coming along on the Jordan blanket. It's slow progress but it is progress. I bought yarn today to make bath poufs I saw on Daisy Cottage Designs. They are suppose to be a fast work so I'm hoping they are. I want to do them for Mother's Day for the mothers in my family. Have a great day.

    Hugs,
    Sharon

  8. Such a very sweet rabbit. And your grand-niece is beautiful in that cowl. The green really suits her colouring, I think. I have three WIPs and I'm enjoying them all at the moment! Two knitting projects and a growing granny square since I learned to crochet at the Yarn Festival in Edinburgh.

A very happy Easter to you, Gracie.

  10. Oh Gracie, I adore your bunny! I am thinking of naming mine something else - will you keep the Maggie name? Our bunnies need to meet! I have to finish my boots and knit the shawl.. a full week of work will go into this one! I want to make mine a pair of underwear, the first thing people do is lift up her dress! THEN.. I want to crochet her a shawl.. and make a apron for her. And a head band with a flower on it. And some crochet booties. I think I am regressing to childhood. Our taxes are filed! Have a fantabulous Easter with your wonderful family!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

    1. Teresa, I laughed out loud when I got to the part about the underwear because I have been trying to design some bloomers or bubble pants like Alicia made for her baby for my bunny so she can be modest in spite of scrutiny :) I finished her nose and boots tonight and hope to knit her caplet tomorrow...and like you I am having so much fun with her I want to make her more of a wardrobe although I had not dreamed up all the outfits you have. [If we are in our second childhood I am enjoying mine more than the first. The six-year-old within me is liberated :)]
I have been calling her Miss Maggie 1001 because Alicia made so many kits for her, but my girls here at home are so pleased with calling her Miss Maggie maybe she will always be Miss Maggie.
Bravo for getting your taxes done.
I hope you and yours have a very blessed Easter celebration as well!
      xx,
      Gracie

  11. I second the motion for the two awesome Maggie's to meet...and in some beautiful place please so I can drool over your perfect workmanship while enjoying the lovely PNW spring scenery:)
Your great niece Katie has gorgeous hair and eyes! The new cowl hood is perfect for her and I am sure she will enjoy wearing it.
Taxes...ah, what taxes? WIP...ah, what works in progress? Can you tell I'm on vacation--well sort of:)
    Blessings,
    Aimee

  15. So this is Miss Maggie Rabbit almost ready for the world?! She's adorable, Gracie! I love the visible stitch work!

And the cowl is lovely as is your niece. :)

I'm happy with almost all of my wips. There's one I could definitely be doing without, right now, lol.
