Light in the World

Sometimes our world may seem very fragile...a paper globe easily destroyed.  But this week in the light of my days I was repeatedly reminded of beauty and strength and kindness and love shared in my faith and family and friends...enduring relationships shared from season to season from generation to generation creatively building and supporting and protecting life.

A dusting of snow landed in our yard one morning on its way to becoming a beautiful blizzard around Mt. Hood.  I enjoyed the family members I live with as well as loving old friends and investing in new friendships. I sent out Christmas cards, finished reading the book A Midnight Clear by Patti Berg, crocheted some Santa socks and stars, and took some photos....

Today I had lunch with fellow bloggers, Taci of TACIStudio and Teresa Kasner.  We exchanged little gifts we made for each other, and we talked...a lot :) Soooo much fun finding common ground,  affirming one another and looking forward to further creative enlightening times together!

Your kind comments bring light into my life as well.  Thank you for visiting and sharing your view of the world as you crochet and knit and cook and clean and photograph and type and bead and sew and paint and weave and live.

What light have you seen in the world since your last visit here?

xx from Gracie

  2. What a wonderful post. The photo with your cobalt glass looking out onto your yard and the dusting of snow really caught my eye, such a pretty picture. We woke up to a dusting of snow this morning with more (fingers crossed) predicted for later today. Blessings, Heather

  6. What a fantastic post! The snow is so lovely, but most of all the light in all your faces as you share friendship. I will say that tiny glimmers of improvement in my daughter's health have thrilled me to the core this past week. That's been the true light in my life recently!

Wishing you a very lovely, relaxing and peaceful Christmas, Gracie. Thanks for all your posts over the last few months, and your encouraging comments on my own blog. Bless you!

  8. Bloggy friendships are special aren't they, something strong that grows from what are initially tenuous links ... lights in themselves, definitely!
