This past weekend we had a wonderful young family friend visiting from CA to participate in some of the pre-wedding festivities for my youngest daughter. Monday around lunchtime, we drove out toward Mt. Hood and had tea at Chariteas in Sandy before dashing to the airport to get our family friend to her homebound flight. As you can see, some of our party enjoyed modeling a few of Charitea's hats.

I knew I recognized that view of Mt. Hood! It was a daily view for me growing up in Portland. My fave tea? Earl Grey! Today I drank some Earl Grey tea I bought from my local tea company, All Things Tea, http://tealiteful.com/. When I'm in the mood for PG Tips, I can pick some up at the British shop in Ventura.

Love tea! I have a few Im particularly fond of - Yorkshire Tea, a good old strong British cuppa. Then Liptons Apple and Cinnamon - very comforting on a cold day, or refreshing in the warmer weather. And Ghazala tea, very strong and black, from the Middle East.
ReplyDeletePG Tips are a favourite at work! I have a cute knitted PG Tips monkey on my desk, and a Union Jack tin with sewing bits in, both given away free over the past couple of years with PG Tips.

ReplyDeleteWe usually have PG tips tea and I have a deaffinated cup at bedtime. I do enjoy coffee but tea is my favourite. I also enjoy some fruit teas. Love Anne x
Oooh I love those hats, they all look wonderful! I love tea...mainly green tea, Earl Grey tea and peppermint tea. I can't function without a cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun place to visit. I've been drinking a lot of decaf green tea in the afternoons with the cooler weather. But plain ole Lipton black tea is my favorite. :-)

I loved taking my daughters to "tea" when they were little. I am in love with Red Bush (Rooibus) tea. I started drinking it after reading Alexander McCall Smith's No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency books. It's delicious.

Those hats are gorgeous! Chariteas looks like a great place. We drink tons of tea at our house. My husband brings me a cuppa in bed on many mornings, as his dear mother always did when we stayed at her house. We drink loose-leaf Yorkshire tea, a spoon per person plus one for the post. Milk in last, although I have heard there are scientific reasons why the milk should go in first. We believe in the saying "Where there is tea there is hope".
