Mt. Hood to Coast Run

Friday, not a cloud was in the sky.  When I was out and about
I got many glimpses of majestic Mt. Hood
and enjoyed temperatures in the 60s.

When I headed out I did not realize that it was the day of
the Mt. Hood to Coast [Seaside] Run.
The streets of Sandy were clogged with runners or
those supporting them so I took the back roads home
only to find that one of the run routes went there, too :)

Some of the nurseries around us already have trees
sporting autumn colors.

Such a lovely day and one of the reasons for being cheerful
that I recorded in my journal.
I am glad Kate gave me The Challenge.

My keys are sporting the new key ring that
Sarah from Knits and Crosses
made for them.
Isn't it lovely?
I wonder if my keys will unlock any adventures
for me in the coming week?

Wishing you a wonderfully adventuous week!

  7. Happy Monday Gracie!
I LOVE the area around Sandy--so beautiful there! I was touched by your August 21 cheerful journal entry...you are right, it is hard to lose someone you love but we should be happy that we were blessed by having them in our lives for however many years we had them.
We avoided ALL areas of the Hood to Coast run this year. In fact, we have done so since the year we were stuck behind the runners for hours in the Coast Range:) It does make for a good memory though and it is all for a great cause!
This weekend we were south of you in the Mt Angel-Silverton area. Unfortunately we couldn't see the Cascades because of so much haze:(
    Blessings,
    Aimee
    PS: Loved your photos!

It's lovely and in a beautiful part of the country. They are about a 2hour drive away now. Love Anne x
