Falls and Mt. Hood

On the way to Costco today we took a drastic detour via the Columbia River Highway.
First we crossed the Sandy River.
Then we started seeing more little water falls than I could count or photograph, but here is one.
We saw the Columbia River and the snowcapped mountains in Washington state.
And we looked to the west where the Columbia eventually flows into the Pacific Ocean.
And we saw a bigger water fall...
and another water fall...
And then the mighty Multnomah Falls...
And the Oneonta Gorge...
AND THEN . . .
We got on I-84 and headed west to home then to Costco and captured shots of Mt Hood along the way.

Have you taken any detours lately ?

  1. I love the Area that you live in, If ever I get to visit, I will be quite familiar with the area between you and Teresa and your fantastic photographs and tours. The 'Horsetail Falls' and Mt Hood are impressive. I must take a detour soon, it is important not to miss the beauty on our 'Doorstep'. :) x

    1. My SIL, two daughters, two grand girls, and two grand dogs are buying our home together, after the death of my husband several years ago. I am grateful we can be with each other, and feel very blessed.
