The Flood...

Remember yesterday I introduced you to our snow friend in the front yard?

Well today he is leaving us...

And in his wake our driveway seems to be becoming a moat...

and the front pond is getting fuller than we
have ever seen it before!!!

I think we are safe...but will keep alert to possible
actions we need to take while I crochet some more hearts.
<3 <3 <3

How are you in your neck of the woods?

  1. I'm crocheting too.. I think it helps us keep calm in this dicey weather. Aren't you glad we have safe warm homes? I can't wait to see all your hearts all starched!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

    1. I am enjoying the pattern more and more and having visions of purple and white hearts, too! and I will get around to the starching part, too, I promise. <3

  2. Poor Mr Snowman, hope that pond doesn't get too close to your house! I missed you today-are you still coming Thursdays?

  3. Thankfully the storm drains seem to be less over-whelmed today, and our driveway is back to normal. I hope to see you next Thursday morning, and not be a weather wimp! <3

  4. The Pudding River down here is just crazy. It's pretty much taken over all the surrounding farm land as well as several houses, cars and streets. I am so thankful we live up on a hill.

    1. Ooooo... I am glad you are safe, too, Amber, and I'm so sorry for and praying for all those who are suffering.

    2. I have been as well. We don't have cable anymore, but I've been spending a lot of time on the KGW website watching the floods and praying for the people who are affected. It is really crazy how fast it all changed.
