Are You Prepared?

I can't say I wasn't warned.

And I was ready...but surprised when we lost power Tuesday night...
and I prayed for those folks who I trusted were repairing weather damaged things.

Just before 4:00a.m. the power came back on, and when it was light outside,
I saw this...
.

and this,

while my son-in-law ventured out to follow rabbit and coyote tracks around the ponds,
and my oldest daughter and the grand girls
constructed this snow friend,

and I prepared to crochet some more of Teresa Kasner's
hearts...

  1. We had the snow too.. but the darn rain is messing it up. :-) You're getting lots of hearts done! You're going to love them once they're starched! You can use them for Valentines decorations AND on your tree. Enjoy your day.. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

    1. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures, Sosae! I am also glad I did not have to shovel the snow as I did in the years we lived in NY! (:

  3. We did not get any snow. It all went north of us and was thankfully melted off by the time M had to go to work in the morning. Although, I would have liked to have some for the little ones to play in.

How is your creek and pond looking?

  4. One of the great things about living in Portland is being able to hop in a car and quickly visit Mt. Hood to play in the snow. With so much water on our place now and expecting so much more, I am a bit concerned, and not sure if we should be doing something about it. Hope you are having warm and cozy days. <3
