"I started photographing my domestic world and writing not just about what I had made,
but why I made it, examining the thoughts that accompany creativity and the act of making."

Following Fall

Driving from our backyard in Portland, OR, October 17, 2011,
I wondered what I would miss at home
while driving south around Eugene, OR
 south of the Umpqua Lighthouse
south of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation area

to the Crescent City, CA, harbor which is still recovering from the tsunami that destroyed much after the 2011 earthquake in Japan although the sea lions pictured in the middle right,  survived the destruction.
I looked north toward the St. George Lighthouse from Brother Jonathan Point in Crescent City
and I saw the Battery Point Lighthouse in south Crescent City
and  a herd of elk south of Crescent City.

Coming and going I stopped to play many games of Scrabble and a few of Upwords while visiting family and friends,
and saw a fabulous sunset from the Grotto Restaurant in Crescent City,
and another beautiful beach in Bandon, OR,

before coming home to enjoy this,
 and this,
and this in our own backyard, October 22, 2011.

I hope you are enjoying this season in your life, too.
